Toronto Oktoberfest 2018: The Best Beer Celebration Outside Munich, So Don’t Miss Out
The Toronto Oktoberfest celebration is the closest you’re going to get to Germany, without actually hopping on a plane to Germany.
Join thousands of Torontonians (and other visitors who come to the city just for this) dressed in lederhosen and dirndls, under a massive Bavarian-style Festhalle Tent to celebrate German culture. (And beer.)
There will be food, beer, music, beer, a fun fair modelled after the original Munich event, and beer.
New Things To Check Out At Toronto Oktoberfest This Year
An Extra Day
Thursday’s event will officially kick off the festival, featuring a tapping of the keg, traditional oompah band, followed by an evening of Bierhaus Beats with local DJs spinning European-influenced dance music.
Improving on last year’s already exclusive experience, the Private Bavarian Lodge is the place to be.
Perks include the best view of the stage, easy access to the dance floor, private washrooms, exclusive bar, early entry, and entry line bypass.
Come prepared to eat incredible Oktoberfest fare at the Food Hall, Bavarian Village, and main Festhalle Tent.
Authentic Brass Band
Joining Toronto all the way from South Germany, one of the oldest, most authentic, and largest brass bands in all of Germany will be showcasing traditional tunes at both Saturday sessions.
