The Toronto market is finally turning the corner from the winter holiday slump, and revving right into 2019 with month-over-month sales activity more than double across all home types. The year-over-year picture, however, is more of a mixed bag. Houses for sale in Toronto fell -10 per cent from the same week in 2018 with 45 homes changing hands. Semi-detached homes saw a more sustained plunge of -38 per cent, with 13 homes sold.
The more affordable home types saw the most action; townhouse sales jumped 30 per cent from last year with 13 units sold, while condo sales were roughly flat at -2 per cent, with 106 units sold.
