Now that the haunted houses of Halloween are behind us, Toronto is settling into the cooler season with a fresh slate of events.

From the long-awaited return of annual events like the Royal Winter Fair and the National Women's Show, to big name comedy shows, the city has a little something for everyone this weekend.

If you’re in the market to take advantage of the first weekend of the new month -- and one in which we gain an hour, nonetheless (so needed, right?) -- here’s what’s happening in Toronto.

Get Down to the Roots at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair
One of Toronto’s most iconic events, the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, celebrates its 100th anniversary as it returns to fill the exhibition grounds with visitors -- many of whom come year after year. Kicking off today and running until November 13, the fair features the best of Canadian food and agriculture, with equestrian competitions, world-class chefs, farmers, and food vendors from across the country in attendance. Following rave reviews for his 2018 global tour, The Unusual Punishment Tour, Jefferies is back with an entirely new routine in The Moist Tour -- and we’re guessing it won’t be for the faint of heart or easily offended.
