Engel & Völkers has expanded its global reach with the opening of its first brokerage in downtown Toronto.

Located at 71 King Street East in the heart of the Financial District, the luxury real estate brand’s new outpost will be led by license partners Debby Doktorczyk and Patrice Groleau, along with Adrienne Lake as the Broker of Record.

Beyond the downtown core, Engel & Völkers Toronto City will serve those searching for their next home in the Beaches, Leslieville, and Riverdale in the east, and the Bloor West Village and the Kingsway in the west.

"The Toronto housing market is complex and offers many assorted home styles and neighbourhoods," Doktorczyk said. "It requires real-time market expertise to navigate and this is exactly what we are going to deliver with our Toronto City shop."

In addition to Engel & Völkers Toronto City, Doktorczyk and Groleau own and operate a number of brokerages across Quebec, including in Montréal and Quebec City. According to a release, these shops are amongst the top-performing shops in Engel & Völkers’ global network.

The brokerage marks Lake’s first engagement with Engel & Völkers, although she brings with her 37 years of experience. She previously served on the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board as well as the Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board, and was formerly president of the Mississauga Real Estate Board.

"I’m delighted to join the Engel & Völkers network and look forward to showcasing our city’s most stunning real estate to discerning clientele," Lake said. "The proven track record of Debby and Patrice in Quebec demonstrates the exceptional leadership the Toronto City shop will have at the helm."

Engel & Völkers Toronto City joins the brand’s Toronto Central brokerage, which serves neighbourhoods including the Bridle Path, Yorkville, and Rosedale, as well as Toronto Uptown, offering access to homes in Forest Hill, Lawrence Park, Hoggs Hollow, and more.
