Home Depot Canada is looking to Torontonians for help in ending youth homelessness.
From now until June 23, Home Depot stores across Canada will be raising funds to support seven local organizations committed to assisting at-risk and homeless youth.
Home Depot Canada customers will have the option of donating $2 at Toronto Home Depot stores with 100 per cent of the proceeds going towards local charities. Each store will support a different organization.

“As one of the fastest-growing segments of the homeless population in Canada, youth homelessness is an urgent and complex issue," Pam O’Rourke, chair on the board of directors at The Home Depot Canada Foundation, said in a statement. "We are working together, with our community partners, to help truly understand and address the unique needs of at-risk and homeless youth, so we can help end this cycle. That is why 100 per cent of every customer donation goes directly to helping local youth.”

Community partners include Covenant House Toronto, Eva's Initiatives for Homeless Youth, Horizons for Youth (HFY), Kennedy House Youth Services, Our Place (Peel), The Boys & Girls Club of East Scarborough, and Youth Without Shelter (YWS).
Youth between the ages of 13 and 24 account for 20 per cent of Canada's homeless population. The Home Depot Canada Foundation is committed to seeing this number decline. The foundation has increased its goal to raise $20 million for at-risk youth organizations to $50 million by 2022.

Home Depot Canada supports over 300 Canadian organizations every year.
