MOD Developments celebrated the seven-year restoration of 197 Yonge St. now known as The Massey Tower the only way they knew how: by hosting a private photography exhibit curated by their founder and CEO Gary Switzer.

The special event took place in the newly restored rotunda of the historic Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce building on Tuesday night. Switzer personally chose 20 of his favourite Toronto-focused, urban compositions taken by himself to feature in the space.

It’s significant that the event took place in the rotunda, as the space will eventually serve as the entryway to a new 60-storey condo tower developed by MOD Developments and designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects. MOD President Noorez Lalani attended the event alongside Switzer to mark the occasion.

The one-night-only event combined everything MOD Developments is about — the design excellence and heritage preservation of 197 Yonge St., as well as the company’s commitment to city-building.

MOD also used the evening as an opportunity to announce that they are bringing a new building to the market very soon. Affectionately referred to as 55C, the new project will be located at 55 Charles St. E.
