Not attending Sunday’s Santa Claus Parade? Don’t make any plans that involve travelling across the city, unless you want to witness the hoards of exhausted children from all corners of the GTA. And yeah, Santa needs you to be aware of several road closures.

Last year was the parade’s largest one ever – at 32 epic floats. With its thousands of dancers, clowns, and people in animal costumes, this year’s Santa Claus spectacle promises to be just as grand.

One difference will be its route. For the first time ever, the parade starts at Parliament and Bloor at 12:30 p.m, then makes its way over to the St. Lawrence Market through Bloor, University and Wellington streets.

Several streets in the downtown core will be experiencing closures for set-up, take-down, and the parade itself – as well as the Holly Jolly Fun Run.

You can find the exact list and times of road closures here.

Or don’t be scrooge and just surrender to its festive joy. Grab a cup of joe and a camping chair to get your Christmas on!
