We're just over halfway through the year and it's safe to say that the real estate market has made a triumphant return from when the pandemic brought the industry to a near standstill.
For context, Canada’s housing market continues to defy expectations, with home prices already having jumped more than 30% to date, with suburbs, smaller cities, and rural areas all helping to lead the way. In Toronto, it's expected that the real estate market will have its biggest year in market history in 2021.
To highlight how the real estate industry has performed so far this year, Miles Nadal, founder and executive chair at Peerage Capital, will be holding an online discussion with Benjamin Tal, deputy chief economist of CIBC this week.
Taking place Thursday, July 15 at 5 pm ET, the discussion will dive into real estate markets and the economy during the first half of 2021, while also touching on what both Tal and Nadal expect in the second half of the year.

Together, the industry leaders will include the outlook for inflation indicators and interest rates and the implications of a possible federal election this fall.
Given Nadal and Tal's vast industry experience, attendees can expect a thought-provoking and informative discussion. If you're interested in attending, you can register online by RSVPing to dmcmurdy@peeragecapital.com.
