On Friday afternoon, the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board (TRREB) announced the appointment of Kevin Crigger to Associate CEO of the organization.

Concurrently, Crigger will step into the role of President of PropTx Innovations Inc., which is a wholly owned subsidiary of TRREB and provider of technology services to real estate boards and associations.

In his new role with TRREB, Crigger will work closely with CEO John DiMichele on things like strategic direction and fostering partnerships and collaboration with stakeholders.

In a press release issued Friday, Crigger said that he’s “honoured” to step into the role, and “eager to continue to collaborate with REALTOR® volunteers and association staff across the country while leveraging our collective experience and expertise to support and empower real estate professionals in their service to clients and communities.”

“I am incredibly excited to welcome Kevin to our leadership teams,” said DiMichele in the release. “Kevin’s in-depth knowledge of the real estate industry, coupled with his innovative mindset, make him an invaluable member of the team. His guidance is essential as we continue providing our Members and their clients with advanced tools and services.”

Meanwhile, Crigger’s role over at PropTx — which is projected to have a user-base of 95,000 by the end of this year — will involve leveraging technology to modernize and streamline real estate services for both agents and consumers.

“The appointment of Kevin marks a significant milestone in our journey to redefine real estate technology,” PropTx Board Chair Paul Baron said. “His business acumen and results-driven leadership will help continue to propel PropTx’s vision forward, advancing our technological offerings to better serve the REALTOR® community in an ever-evolving landscape.”

Of note is the fact that Crigger, in addition to being an active REALTOR® in Toronto for over a decade, previously served as President of both TRREB and the Ontario REALTORS Care® Foundation, and Chair of PropTx. He has additionally served on a number of committees and task forces at the Ontario Real Estate Association, Canadian Real Estate Association, and Real Estate Council of Ontario.
