Get Down to the Roots at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair
One of Toronto’s most iconic events, the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, celebrates its 100th anniversary as it returns to fill the exhibition grounds with visitors -- many of whom come year after year. Kicking off today and running until November 13, the fair features the best of Canadian food and agriculture, with equestrian competitions, world-class chefs, farmers, and food vendors from across the country in attendance. LOL at the Jim Jefferies Show
Those in the market for a few end-of-week laughs will find them at Meridian Hall, where famed Australian comedian Jim Jefferies will take the stage tonight. Following rave reviews for his 2018 global tour, The Unusual Punishment Tour, Jefferies is back with an entirely new routine in The Moist Tour -- and we’re guessing it won’t be for the faint of heart or easily offended. Screen a Film Made in 48 Hours
Beginning tomorrow until November 10, the films created in the Toronto 48 Hour Film Project will screen at the Revue Cinema. All films were completed – from conception, to shooting, and editing – in less than 48 hours last month by local talent. At each screening, the audience votes for their three favourite films and the top choice wins “The Audience Favourite Award.” Find more info here.
