There's a house currently on the market in Halfmoon Bay, BC -- a small community of under 3,000 residents -- and it's kind of like a treehouse, except much, much larger. And more lavish.
The home sits at 10710 Wood Bay Heights Road, further north along the Sunshine Coast Highway from Secret Cove, and it's perched on top of a small cliff, surrounded by trees in every direction.
It was built in 2020, boasts 4,327 sq. ft of space across the main house and a guest house -- connected via an elevated hallway -- and consists of four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
Every inch of the home was meticulously designed and then built with the finest materials and fixtures. The home has enough large fir posts and wood elements to make it really feel like an elaborate treehouse, and it's scattered with large windows that provide endless views of the ocean and nearby islands.

The house is also topped off with heated concrete floors, layered lighting, live-roof elements, and it's equipped with a three-level elevator.
The kitchen is top-end, with state-of-the-art appliances, a dual-fuel range, and a steam oven, as well as a nine-foot kitchen island that sits beneath two skylights.

Our Favourite Thing
It's a little hidden, but if you look to the ceiling above the dining area, you'll see a staircase. It takes you up to a gorgeous loft, which really completes the entire lavish treehouse experience. The staircase can also be closed up when you don't want it in the way, which is a nice (read: useful) little touch.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are not to be overlooked -- each boasts elevated views of their own, while the master suite is finished with a stunning six-piece bath.
There's also balconies on almost all sides of the house -- again, like a treehouse would have -- which invite you to really take in the surrounding nature and sun. Here you'll see, BC's "Sunshine Coast," where Halfmoon Bay is located, truly does live up to its name.
