1. Art At The X - Black History Month Edition

Art At The X brands itself as a “one-of-a-kind lifestyle event.” This month, the art gala will showcase a variety of black artists in honour of Black History Month, and will include a live performance by hip-hop artist Borelson, artwork by M. Falconer, and a fashion show by Zoba Martin.

2. Women of Comedy

Where: The Social Capital

When: Saturday at 8 p.m.

Cost: $10

Unwind with a night of laughs at a comedy show featuring hilarious women from Just for Laughs, JFL 42, and the Winnipeg Comedy Festival. With Toronto-based comedian Hoodo Hersi headlining the show, it’s sure to be a riot!

3.Yoga With Meditation Coach Anoushka D'souza

Where: Consonant Skincare

When: Sunday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Cost: Free!

Consonant Skincare hosts weekly events at their flagship store on Queen St. W. This Sunday, they’re hosting a yoga session, which will end with light meditation and a short discussion about the practice.

4. Degrassi-Themed Raptors 905 Game

Where: Paramount Fine Foods Centre

When: Saturday at 2 p.m.

Cost: $13+

It doesn’t get more Canadian than this! Spectators can expect “fresh jerseys, guest appearances, Degrassi-themed giveaways & more,” according to the organizers.

5. Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark: The IMAX Experience

Where: Cinesphere

When: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 7:30 p.m.

Cost: $15

Head to the Cinesphere to catch a true classic this weekend. “Raiders of the Lost Ark” follows Indiana Jones’ adventure to find the Ark of the Covenant before it falls into the hands of the Nazis.

6. Smart Women & Smart Money Workshop

Where: Baka Gallery Cafe

When: Sunday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Cost: Free!

This workshop teaches women how to take control of their finances. It will cover a range of topics, including RRSPs and TFSAs, saving vs. investing, and how to make income from a hobby.

7. Get The Jump On Spring

Where: Toronto Botanical Garden

When: Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Cost: Free, but donations appreciated

It’s not too early to start thinking about spring! Learn about unique native plants, beekeeping, fairy gardens and more at the demonstrations hosted by the Toronto Botanical Garden this weekend.

8. Winterfolk Blues and Roots Festival

Where: The Danforth

When: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Cost: $15+

This all-ages festival will feature more than 150 artists over the three-day weekend. In addition to live performances, festival-goers can also partake in musically themed workshops.

9. In Conversation: Kortney & Dave Wilson

Where: Indigo CF Sherway Gardens

When: Saturday at 2 p.m.

Cost: Free!

The stars of HGTV’s “Masters of Flip” will discuss their new book Live Happy: The Best Ways to Make Your House a Home. Book signing to follow.

10. Hakka Chinese Chicken with Yueh Tung Restaurant

Where: Hot Docs Ted Rogers CinemaWhen: Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.Cost: $18.58

If you’ve always loved stories about food, then check out this series led by Toronto-based food writer Suresh Doss. In this installment, Doss speaks with the Liu family, who own the Yueh Tung Restaurant, about how they pass down Hakka food traditions.
