Autumn is almost here! But that doesn't mean that there aren't a plethora of fun things to do outside this weekend either by yourself, with friends or family. No matter what you're looking for, there's something special to check out. From art, music, food, wellness to board games, these events are free.

1. The Queen West Art Crawl

Where: Trinity Bellwoods Park — 790 Queen St. W.When: Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This annual cultural and artistic festival takes over Trinity Bellwoods Park with art, installation and live music. Expect to see work from more than 200 of Canada's emerging artists. Plus, you can stop by the Steam Whistle beer garden, Kids Zone or food vendors.

2. Harvest Day Celebration

Where: Toronto Botanical Garden — 700 Lawrence Ave. EWhen: Saturday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

This family-friendly event is stroller accessible, bringing you and the whole family into a gorgeous garden. If you're looking to spend time in nature, this is the place for you. You can plant garlic, ride the smoothie bike, create nature art, enjoy garden-themed stories and harvest veggies for the Dorset Park Food Bank.

3. 2019 The Word On The Street Festival

Where: Harbourfront Centre  — 235 Queens Quay WWhen: Saturday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary, The Word On The Street Festival hosts writers from across the country to enjoy books and magazines. You can anticipate a visit from Jody Wilson-Raybould and event programming which includes awards, readings, music and discussions.

4. St. Lawrence Market Community Harvest Festival

Where: St. Lawrence Market — 93 Front St. EWhen: Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This all-day festival brings visitors onto Market St. to enjoy flavours, sights and smells of Autumn. There are free activities including face painting, fall cupcake decorating and live performances.

5. Francophonie-en-Fete Music Festival

Where: The Distillery District  — 55 Mill St.When: Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Head down to the Distillery District for a weekend of free concerts! Back for its 14th year, the Annual Francophonie en Fete Music Festival features more than 20 artists. You'll find refreshments on site at a beer garden.

6. WindFest Fun Fly - Toronto’s Kite Weekend

Where: Woodbine Beach — 1675 Lake Shore Blvd. E

When: Saturday from 11 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Bring your own kite! This dazzling event will bring tons of bright-coloured kites into the sky for a wondrous display of fun and excitement. Join hundreds of others for whimsical day of fun.

7. Kodede [Go Eat] Multi-National Food Festival

Where: Daniels Spectrum — 585 Dundas St. E

When: Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Admission is free to this food festival hosting delicious eats from across the globe. But make sure to bring cash if you want to try some of the different dishes available onsite. Tasting tickets are $4 each. There will be live music, DJs, art, dance performances, an awards ceremony and other presentations.

8. TOK Toronto

Where: Harbourfront Centre  — 235 Queens Quay W

When: Friday from 10:30 a.m. 7:15 p.m., Saturday from 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

TOK Toronto is a free three-day symposium for writers and readers. As the digital magazine for non-profit organization Diaspora Dialogues, this event celebrates writing from Canada and beyond. You can join workshops, on-stage interviews with authors and panel discussions.

9. Free Yoga Class in Trillium Park

Where: Trillium Park — 955 Lake Shore Blvd.

When: Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Head on over to Ontario Place's Trillium Park for a complimentary yoga class. But make sure to bring your own mat. Afterwards, stop by the GT's KOMBUCHA'S Zen lounge for a free kombucha!

10. Snakes & Lattes Game Night for Millennials

Where: Bloor/Gladstone Library — 1101 Bloor St. W

When: Friday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Turn your phone off and get ready to enjoy some adult fun with other millennials. This free board games evening has coffee provided by Snakes & Lattes plus light refreshments provided by the library.
