A new bus service is coming to Kingston Rd. in Toronto’s east end this month.
Starting on Tuesday, Oct. 9, the TTC will introduce the new 12D Kingston Road bus service that will operate from Victoria Park Station to the University of Toronto Scarborough campus, as a one-year pilot.

A new branch, 12D, will operate during the peak periods, from Monday to Friday, between Victoria Park Station and the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus.

The purpose of the peak period service on this route is to provide continuous service along Kingston Rd.
The weekday service will operate from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., approximately every 30 minutes, and between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., approximately every 25 minutes.

During the pilot, TTC staff will monitor and adjust service as demand and operating conditions required to ensure route performance is maximized.
Following a year of operation, TTC staff will evaluate the ridership to determine whether to make the service permanent, extend the pilot period with modifications to service, or cancel the service.
