THE INSIGHTS

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in the beautiful city of West Vancouver.

What neighbourhood do you live in now?

I am in the vibrant heart of Downtown Penticton, nestled in the stunning Okanagan region of British Columbia, between two lakes.

What made you want to become a real estate agent?

To help people relocate to the beautiful Okanagan region, where I absolutely adore the breathtaking landscapes, vibrant communities, and abundance of recreational activities that all ages can enjoy. It brings me so much joy to assist people during their relocation to this stunning place. Moving to a new area can be overwhelming, and I believe in making this transition as seamless as possible for individuals and families.

What’s the biggest challenge you see facing the market today?

The biggest challenge the Okanagan real estate market is facing today is the lack of supply. Luckily, there are a number of new construction projects underway all throughout the Okanagan aiming to increase supply for the first-time home buyers as well as for families and retirees.

What’s the single best advice you have for sellers?

When selling a home in a city known for its calming ambience and natural beauty, my biggest piece of advice is to create an inviting and tranquil atmosphere by intentionally decluttering. By removing excess items and organizing your space, the allure of your home can truly shine, creating a serene sanctuary where the focus is on the surroundings rather than personal belongings.

What’s the single best advice you have for buyers?

One crucial piece of advice I would like to share with homebuyers is the importance of having your financing in place ahead of time. This will empower you to confidently search for your dream home and make timely decisions when the perfect opportunity arises.

What’s the best thing a realtor can invest in for their brand (a bus bench ad, a solid Instagram strategy, etc.)?

The best investment a realtor can make for their personal brand is in themselves. By cultivating a reputation for being genuinely helpful and prioritizing the interests of their clients, realtors can establish a trusted and respected identity in an industry that thrives on trust and reliability.

Who do you look up to in the industry and why?

Faith Wilson – her personal brand of integrity, she exudes kindness in all her interactions, and her extensive experience in the luxury market.

Is there anything you wish people knew or understood about realtors that you think they’re constantly getting wrong?

That dedicated Realtors work hard at almost all hours of the day and night for their clients, and will put their clients' interests ahead of their own personal lives and plans. That level of dedication and commitment we bring to our work can get misunderstood, or even underestimated.

Tell us about your favourite (or most memorable) sale.

They’re all memorable in their own way and I am always thrilled when I have been able to help my clients reach their real estate goals.

What are the three words you hope your clients use to describe you?

Genuinely helpful, kind, and trustworthy.

What’s your favourite thing to do outside of selling houses?

I enjoy spending quality time with my family, preferably outdoors. We go on hikes, picnics, or simply explore nature together. It always ends with a well-deserved aprés on a sunny patio!
