RE/MAX Canada has officially welcomed a new president with the appointment of Christopher Alexander.

Alexander, who started his career in 2010 as a Sales Associate at an independently owned and operated brokerage, has risen through the ranks to become a third-generation RE/MAX leader. In 2014, he joined sub-franchisor RE/MAX INTEGRA as a Franchise Sales Consultant.

He then served as Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Vice President of RE/MAX INTEGRA and was responsible for the day-to-day operations as well as developing and overseeing business strategies. He joined RE/MAX, LLC as the Senior Vice President of Canada in July 2021.

However, following the recent acquisition of the North American regions of RE/MAX INTEGRA, RE/MAX added the Ontario and Atlantic provinces, which has a network of approximately 12,000 agents, to its previously owned Western Canada roster of about 7,000 agents.

With the acquisition completed, Alexander will now serve as the president of RE/MAX Canada and lead the Western and Ontario-Atlantic Canadian network of over 19,000 agents.

Prior to becoming president, Alexander worked as the chief strategy officer and executive vice president at RE/MAX INTEGRA, where he was responsible for day-to-day operations, developing and overseeing high-quality business strategies and operations to ensure the company’s financial and operational goals were achieved.

“I’m incredibly proud to lead the brand and our agents here in Canada,” Christopher Alexander, President, RE/MAX Canda, told STOREYS.

“Working closely with executive vice president, Elton Ash, and the leaders of the Quebec region, in my new role, I’ll be focused on building a cohesive brand strategy across the country, growing our network of agents from coast-to-coast, and guiding the team as we continue to deliver best-in-class service to Canadians,” said Alexander.

With Alexander and Ash working together, it will provide the brand with two results-driven leaders, who will build RE/MAX’s new cohesive brand strategy across Canada together.

"I have every confidence in his ability to continue to energize our network and regional teams as we create one unified brand across all of our Canadian regions," said RE/MAX President Nick Bailey. "Under Christopher's leadership, we aim to drive scale and streamline operations across many functions, creating a stronger national brand offering for consumers, agents, and franchisees alike."

Since launching in Canada over 40 years ago, the RE/MAX brand has found success, including its national agent count growing by 10% year-over-year at the end of Q3-2021.

"As we continue to forge forward as a global brand, it is important that we have strong leadership at the national level to ensure we are able to react and adapt to regional differences," added Bailey.

"Christopher's extensive knowledge of the Canadian real estate industry and proven track record of agent and franchise growth will make him an integral addition to the RE/MAX leadership team."
