25 Toronto Condo Launches You Need to Know About This Fall (MAP)

With summer coming to a bittersweet end, the arrival of the new season brings much to be excited about. Not only are many companies returning to the office, but most students will also have the chance to return to in-person learning.

As for real estate, after months of quiet, the rental market -- especially in large cities like Vancouver and Toronto -- is seeing a boom in demand, resulting in bidding wars and rising rents as renters make their way back to the downtown core. At the same time, the condo market is also seeing demand strengthen, as buyers priced out of the housing market turn to condos as the more affordable option.

And, as we ride out the last few days of summer, it's time to start preparing for Toronto condo launches to kick off the busy fall market.

This comes on the heels of a very active spring condo market in the Greater Toronto Area that saw the highest number of new condominiums sold in April since 2000, soaring 69% above the 10-year average.

Spring's record-setting activity was followed by a summer in which condo sales rose 13% above the 10-year average for the region, with 2,775 new units sold during June, followed by 1,478 in July, according to the Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD).

Meanwhile, the remaining inventory has not been able to keep up with the high sales demand as supply reached 9,483 units in July. The remaining inventory includes units in preconstruction projects, projects currently under construction, and completed buildings.

It's also worth noting that several new condo projects weren’t able to launch amid COVID, meaning many exciting Toronto condo launches are lining up to make Fall 2021 a season to remember.
