Mother's Day is the perfect time to stop everything that you are doing and shower your mom (or any important female figure in your life) with the love she deserves.
And while COVID might make it difficult to celebrate these women -- whether that's your mom, wife, grandma, aunt, mother-in-law, or anyone else who fits the bill -- in person this year, a Toronto neighbourhood is making it easier to celebrate this Mother's Day through a unique and collaborative initiative.
This Mother's Day, Hillcrest Village will be teaming up with Dine Collab, which makes "meal kits that matter," to put together a selection of amazing gift baskets featuring items from local businesses that can be gifted to the important women in your life.
Several gift baskets will be available for purchase leading up to Mother's Day including, coffee, tea, and wellness-themed baskets in addition to the signature St. Clair brunch basket, which will include everything a family will need to enjoy a perfect meal with their loved ones.

The Dine Collab initiative started this past Christmas as a collaborative food event to support local restaurants and those experiencing food insecurity during a difficult time by local residents Natalie Singer and Christine Spencer.
Prior to Christmas and New Year's Eve, 150 gourmet meal kits were purchased and 150 were donated to The Beeton Cupboard Food Bank. Over $2,000 was raised in addition to the meal kit donations, which helped with the acquisition of a commercial fridge and freezer for The Beeton Cupboard.
Dine Collab's version of this concept has since evolved to include local, collaborative, and philanthropic core values, which is why the Dine Collab team is thrilled to be partnering with The Stop - Wychwood Open Door.
The Mother's Day baskets can be purchased online here and range in price from $25 to $98.
Dine Collab is also hosting a 'Shop & Dine Hillcrest' raffle, with all proceeds going to support The Stop - Wychwood Open Door. Ticket holders will have a chance to win one of the baskets for sale, as well as two "Experience Hillcrest Village" prize packs, each containing hundreds of dollars in gift cards to local retailers, personal service businesses, cafes, and restaurants.
There will be six prizes in total and tickets can be purchased here.
