Easter is usually the first holiday of the year where the weather is nice and you don't need to tough it out through wintery temperatures.

Even though we're supposedly due for rain this entire weekend, that's par for the course in Vancouver. So for those who want to take full advantage of the long weekend and its balmier temperatures, here's what's open and what's closed around Metro Vancouver on Good Friday and Easter Monday.

As of Tuesday, all four Zellers locations across Metro Vancouver and British Columbia are all now open as well, so this Easter weekend would certainly be a great time to check them out!

For those who want to really get into the Easter spirit, there are also plenty of Easter-themed events around Metro Vancouver. The City of Vancouver is hosting numerous Easter egg hunts at community centres around the city (a full list can be viewed here). Burnaby is hosting one as well at the Bill Copeland Sports Centre on Good Friday, and there's also a variety of Easter events in Surrey.

Have an eggscellent weekend!
