
Special Weather Statement Issued for Toronto
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the City of Toronto today, warning of strong winds this afternoon.
According to the weather agency, strong westerly winds are expected to develop this afternoon and continue into the early evening, with some gusts of up to 80 km/h possible. As important as the high winds is the possibility of power outages.

The winds are expected to diminish later this evening.
Last night, the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) issued a Watershed Conditions Statement that has since been removed. It appears rain has been replaced by wind.
TRCA has issued a Watershed Conditions Statement: Water Safety, as approximately 25 mm of rainfall is expected overnight and Monday morning. Water levels in rivers may be higher than normal, and banks may be slippery and unstable. https://t.co/XTcaIoGDiZ #ONStorm
