It has been a slightly slower week for real estate activity as Toronto buyers and sellers alike pressed pause over the Victoria Day long weekend. Sales are down across all home types on a monthly basis, with detached houses seeing the largest decline of -27 per cent with 98 transactions. On an annual basis, detached homes saw a decrease of -20 per cent. Semi-detached houses also fell from April levels by -16 per cent, though were up 8 per cent from 2018 with 41 homes sold.
Conditions were especially soft for multi-family housing types; a total of 25 Toronto townhouses sold, marking a -24 per cent decline month-over-month and -7 per cent year-over-year. Condo sales also fell -17 per cent from April and -28 per cent from last year with a total of 141 units changing hands.
