Happy Monday! Today's the federal election. Can you believe it? Well, if you're planning your commute today, keep in mind that 13 stations on Line 1 will be closing early, three of which will be closed altogether.
Here's what you need to know.
What's Closed
Subway service on Line 2 between St George and Woodbine stations will end at 11 p.m. nightly from Monday, Oct. 21 to Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019 for track work.
Bay, Sherbourne and Chester stations will be closed. All other stations will remain open for the sale of fares and connection to surface routes.
How To Navigate The Service Disruptions
Shuttle buses will operate. Wheel-Trans service will be available for customers requiring accessible service. Customers should see any TTC employee to request the service.
How To Pay
If you’re paying with PRESTO during the subway closure just tap your card when you first board the TTC.
If you are transferring from the subway to a shuttle bus or from a shuttle bus to the subway, don’t tap your PRESTO card again. Unlike normal subway to bus transfers, shuttle buses do not need a second tap.
Cash and token fares will still be accepted on the shuttle bus, which will get you a transfer onto the subway (and vice versa).
