Monday morning was off to a rocky start for some Torontonians after a streetcar derailment in midtown caused service to come to a halt.
Just before 10 am, a streetcar derailed at St. Clair Avenue andVaughanRoad, which resulted in the south and westbound lanes of traffic to be blocked.
And while there were no reported injuries, Toronto police were still called to the scene to assist with traffic control.
Police say drivers can expect delays in the area and to consider taking alternative routes.

The TTC says shuttle buses are now running between Oakwood Avenue and St Clair Station to assist passengers.
Monday's derailment comes just weeks after a partial subway train derailment on Line 2 caused commuter chaos and left passengers stranded for hours as they waited on overcrowded subway platforms and at stations for shuttle buses to arrive.
According to reports, the January rush-hour derailment was caused by a tiny piece of protruding rail.
