It’s been a turkey of a week — while month-over-month sales activity is on an uptick, fewer homes are exchanging hands than in the same time frame during September, likely due to the timing of the Thanksgiving long weekend.
However, it’s a cheery picture for all low-rise housing types from last month: detached home sales rose 63 per cent, semi-detached at 92 per cent and townhouses for sale up 71 per cent.
Condo sales, though, have slowed by 11 per cent, perhaps highlighting the recovering demand for the higher-priced housing segment. Year-over-year ushered in declines of -11 per cent, -7 per cent, -40 per cent, and -11 per cent, respectively.
