It’s been a softer week over both the short- and the long-term trend.
All home types have posted double year-over-year and month-over-month declines, with the exception of semi-detached houses.
The summer doldrums appear to be in full swing for Toronto homes for sale, as detached home sales activity slowed from last week’s 20-per-cent uptick, falling 10 per cent from the same time period last year.
Townhouses and condos followed suit at -19 and -14 per cents, respectively, while semi-detached soared 50 per cent from 2017 levels, with 27 sold.
Buyers and sellers are likely looking to the brisker back-to-school market before re-entering the market, as activity is anticipated to pick back up post-Labour Day long weekend.
