As the province rides out the second wave of the novel coronavirus pandemic, the number of daily COVID-19 cases in Ontario continues to rapidly increase.

To give a better understanding of the virus and its impacts here in the city, we’ve mapped every known public location any of the coronavirus patients visited as well as any recent outbreaks in Toronto.

Please note: The reporting of these cases date back to Tuesday, September 22 -- the first day of fall -- for all previous cases from the city's first wave of the virus, please refer to this map. We've also continued to update the list with all new winter cases.

As of Tuesday, February 9, provincial health officials have confirmed 1,022 new cases and 17 more COVID-19 related deaths. According to the Ministry of Health, there are now 280,494 positive cases in the province, of which, 259,991 (92.7%) patients have recovered and 6,555 have died (2.3%). At this time, 10,085,123 people have been tested and 33,273 more are currently waiting for their test results.

Of these cases in Ontario, Toronto Public Health says it is currently monitoring 90,595 coronavirus cases in the city, 343 of these were confirmed on February 9.

Below, we've broken down every new coronavirus case in the province and every known public setting and business where someone that's tested positive for the virus has visited in Toronto:

  • Tuesday, September 21: The Government of Ontario reported 478 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday morning, the highest case count since May 8. There were also three reported deaths and 196 resolved cases since the previous report. The province also reported 153 of these cases came from Toronto.
  • Wednesday, September 23: The Government of Ontario reported 335 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday morning, making it the first time cases have dropped in three days. Of these cases, 129 were from Toronto. There were also three reported deaths and 258 resolved cases in the province since the previous report.
  • Thursday, September 24: The Government of Ontario reported 409 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday morning, with 151 coming from Toronto. There was also one reported death and 286 resolved cases since the previous report.
  • Friday, September 25: The Government of Ontario reported 409 new COVID-19 cases, making this the sixth time in eight days numbers have been over 400. There was also one new death and 283 resolved cases reported. Of today's new cases, the province reported 204 cases were from Toronto.
  • Saturday, September 26: Ontario reported 435 new cases of the novel coronavirus on Saturday, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 49,340. This marks a slight increase compared to the previous two days when 409 cases were reported each day.
  • Sunday, September 27: Ontario reported 491 new cases of the novel coronavirus on Sunday, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 49,831. It’s the biggest single-day increase in cases since May 2 when 511 were reported.
  • Monday, September 28: The Government of Ontario reported 700 new COVID-19 cases, with Toronto reporting the most across the region with 344 new cases. There was also one new death and 331 resolved cases reported.
  • Tuesday, September 29: The Government of Ontario reported 554 new COVID-19 cases, a drop from Monday’s record-high number. Monday was the highest new daily case number to date with 700 reported surpassing the previous record of 640 set on April 24, 251 of Tuesday's cases were reported in Toronto. There were four more deaths with 323 resolved cases reported.
  • Wednesday, September 30: The Government of Ontario reported 625 new coronavirus cases, with Toronto reporting 288. There were also four new deaths and 457 resolved cases reported.
  • Thursday, October 1: Ontario reported 538 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday and three new deaths, with Toronto still accounting for nearly half of all new infections.
  • Friday, October 2: Ontario reported 732 new cases of COVID-19, making it the second day this week in which an alarming new high has been reached. The number is a big increase on the 538 new cases reported on Thursday but does not represent a significant uptick on the then record 700 cases that were reported on Monday.
  • Saturday, October 3: Ontario reported 653 coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, a number keeping in line with the upswing in new daily cases the province has been seeing in the last couple of weeks.
  • Sunday, October 4: Public Health Ontario has announced 566 coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, a slight decrease compared to the daily case count the province has announced over the past several days.
  • Monday, October 5: Ontario reported 615 new COVID-19 cases today, up from the 566 recorded one day earlier but down from 653 on Saturday. The seven-day rolling average of new cases now stands at 612.
  • Tuesday, October 6: Ontario is reporting 548 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, a drop from 615 new infections recorded a day earlier.
  • Wednesday, October 7: The province reported 583 new infections today, up from the 548 confirmed one day earlier. However, for the first time in many weeks, recoveries are outpacing new cases, and the province says there are 707 additional recoveries today.
  • Thursday, October 8: Ontario reported a single-day record high of 797 new COVID-19 cases and four new deaths. The province also set a new daily record for the number of tests completed.
  • Friday, October 9: Ontario reported 939 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday — the highest-ever daily number of new cases.
  • Saturday, October 10: The Government of Ontario confirmed 809 new COVID-19 cases, a decrease from the record high 939 reported on Friday.
  • Sunday, October 11: The Government of Ontario confirmed 649 new coronavirus cases, with one new death reported.
  • Monday, October 12: The province reported 807 new cases of COVID-19 on Thanksgiving Monday, marking the third-highest count of cases since the pandemic began.
  • Tuesday, October 13: The province reported 746 new cases and nine more deaths today.
  • Wednesday, October 14: Ontario reported 721 new COVID-19 cases today, down slightly from the number of cases recorded one day earlier, when 746 were reported.

    • Thursday, October 15: Ontario health officials reported 783 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday and five new deaths, with a considerable increase in testing volumes over the past several days.
    • Friday, October 16: Ontario reported its lowest number of new cases of COVID-19 so far this week but the drop comes amid a rise in fatalities, with nine more added to the province’s death toll over the last 24 hours. The Ministry of Health says that there were 712 new cases of the disease confirmed on Friday, down from 783 on Thursday.
    • Saturday, October 17: The Government of Ontario confirmed 805 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday morning, making this the 6th straight day the province is reporting over 700.
    • Sunday, October 18: Provincial health officials confirmed there were 658 new COVID-19 cases throughout the province.
    • Monday, October 19: The Ministry of Health says that there were 704 new cases of the disease caused by the novel coronavirus confirmed today.
    • Tuesday, October 20: Ontario reported 821 new COVID-19 cases and three new deaths today, on a drastically lower amount of processed tests, sending the provincewide positivity rate well above 3%.
    • Wednesday, October 21: Ontario reported 790 new cases of COVID-19 and nine additional deaths. This comes as more than 32,600 tests were completed in the last 24 hours, an increase from the noticeably low amount of 24,000 tests processed on Tuesday.
    • Thursday, October 22: Ontario reported 841 new infections as the province's positivity rate has declined as officials work to boost testing numbers.
    • Friday, October 23: Ontario health officials reported 826 new cases of COVID-19 and nine new deaths, this follows much stronger rates of testing that sent the positivity rate lower.
    • Saturday, October 24: The Government of Ontario confirmed 978 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday morning, the daily highest count to date since the pandemic began.
    • Sunday, October 25: The Government of Ontario confirmed 1,042 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday morning, breaking Saturday’s record for the highest case count since the virus began.
    • Monday, October 26: Provincial health officials recorded 851 new cases of the virus today, significantly fewer new infections than the 1,042 confirmed on Sunday and 978 recorded on Saturday.
    • Tuesday, October 27: Ontario health officials reported 827 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday and four new deaths, as the rate of testing in the province continued its fall to new multi-month lows.
    • Wednesday, October 28: Ontario is reporting 834 new cases of COVID-19 and five more deaths as processed tests continue to be below the province’s daily target.
    • Thursday, October 29: Ontario reported 934 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday and 10 new deaths, as Toronto set a new record for cases detected in a 24-hour span.
    • Friday, October 30: The Ministry of Health says that there were 896 new cases of the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, as the province’s labs turned around more than 41,000 individual tests.
    • Saturday, October 31: Provincial health officials confirmed there were 1,015 new cases on Saturday, which is still below last Sunday's record-high of 1,042 cases.
    • Sunday, November 1: The Government of Ontario confirmed 977 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday morning, a decrease from Saturday’s 1,015 cases.
    • Monday, November 2: Ontario reported 948 new cases of COVID-19 and seven more deaths on Monday with over 27,900 tests completed in the last 24 hours.
    • Tuesday, November 3: Ontario reported a record of 1,050 new COVID-19 infections today, marking the highest the province has seen in a single day since the start of the pandemic, breaking the previous record of 1,042 set late last month.
    • Wednesday, November 4: Provincial health officials confirmed 987 new cases today.
    • Thursday, November 5: The Government of Ontario confirmed 998 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, in addition to 13 more deaths, and 948 resolved cases.
    • Friday, November 6: Ontario health officials recorded 1,003 new infections today, up marginally from the 998 confirmed on Thursday but a significant increase from the 896 reported last Friday.
    • Saturday, November 7: The province reported 1,132 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, up significantly from Friday's 1,003 cases.
    • Sunday, November 8: Provincial health officials recorded 1,328 new cases on Sunday — breaking single-day records for the third day in a row.

      • Monday, November 9: Ontario reported 1,242 new COVID-19 cases on Monday and 12 new deaths, the fourth straight day where new case growth came in above 1,000.
      • Tuesday, November 10: Ontario reported another record for new COVID-19 cases, marking the third time since the past weekend that an alarming new high has been reached. The Ministry of Health said that there were 1,388 new cases confirmed on Monday and an additional 15 deaths.
      • Wednesday, November 11: The number of new COVID-19 infections in the province reached 1,426 today, setting yet another single-day record in Ontario.
      • Thursday, November 12: Ontario reported 1,575 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, setting a new single-day record high for a third day in a row. Eighteen more deaths were also confirmed across the province, marking the highest amount of fatalities recorded in a day during the second wave of the virus, which began in September.
      • Friday, November 13: Ontario health officials confirmed 1,396 new infections today, down from the record 1,575 logged one day earlier. Nineteen deaths were also reported.
      • Saturday, November 14: The Government of Ontario confirmed 1,581 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday morning, the highest single-day count since the pandemic began.
      • Sunday, November 15: The Government of Ontario confirmed 1,248 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, a decrease from Saturday’s 1,581 count. The province also reported 29 new deaths and 1,062 resolved cases.
      • Monday, November 16: Ontario reported 1,487 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours. About 60% of the new cases were concentrated in just two public health units – Toronto (508 new cases) and Peel (392 new cases).
      • Tuesday, November 17: Provincial health officials reported 1,249 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday and 12 additional deaths. Locally, there are 569 new cases in Toronto --  a record-high for the city.
      • Wednesday, November 18: Ontario reported 1,417 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday and 32 new deaths -- the highest daily death toll reported since June 19.
      •  Thursday, November 19: Provincial health officials recorded another 1,210 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, down from the 1,417 reported yesterday and the 1,575 recorded one week ago.
      • Friday, November 20: Ontario reported 1,418 new COVID-19 cases on Friday and 8 new deaths, as the province’s total case count since the pandemic crossed 100,000.
      • Saturday, November 21: The Government of Ontario confirmed 1,588 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, the highest daily count since the pandemic began.
      • Sunday, November 22: Ontario reported 1,534 cases of COVID-19 on Sunday. Locally, there were 460 new cases in Toronto.
      • Monday, November 23: The Ministry of Health says that there were 1,589 new instances of the disease caused by the novel coronavirus confirmed on Monday, as we all as another 19 deaths.
      • Tuesday, November 24: Ontario reported 1,009 new cases of COVID-19  on Tuesday, but the province says an error in reporting yesterday’s data resulted in an underestimation of Tuesday's case count and overestimation of Monday’s total.
      • Wednesday, November 25: Ontario reported 1,373 new COVID-19 cases and an additional 35 deaths on Wednesday. This marks the highest number of fatalities recorded in a single day during the second wave of the pandemic.
      • Thursday, November 26: Ontario reported 1,478 new positive tests for COVID-19 on Thursday along with 21 new deaths, as the overall positivity rate declined and hospitalizations reached their highest point so far in the second wave.
      • Friday, November 27: The Ministry of Health says that there were 1,855 new cases of the disease caused by the novel coronavirus on Friday -- setting a new record -- as well as another 20 deaths, 13 of which involved residents of long-term care homes.
      • Saturday, November 28: The Government of Ontario confirmed 1,822 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday morning, slightly less than the record-breaking 1,855 reported on Friday.
      • Sunday, November 29:  Provincial health officials confirmed there were 1,708 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, marking a drop from the previous day's cases of 1,822 and 1,855.
      • Monday, November 30: Ontario health officials reported 1,746 new infections Monday, up slightly from the 1,708 confirmed one day prior but down from the record 1,855 recorded on Friday. The new cases come as the province reports a notable drop in testing.

        • Tuesday, December 1: Ontario reported 1,707 new COVID-19 cases and seven new deaths on Tuesday, as positivity province-wide climbed above 5% and Toronto hit a new single-day record high of 727 new cases.
        • Wednesday, December 2: Provincial health officials confirmed 1,723 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday along with 35 more deaths -- marking a tie for the highest single-day death toll since the start of the second wave of the pandemic.
        • Thursday, December 3: Ontario reported 1,824 new COVID-19 cases and 14 more deaths on Thursday. However, the daily case count reflects an overestimate due to a processing error.
        • Friday, December 4: The Ministry of Health reported that there were 1,780 new cases of the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, along with another 25 deaths.
        • Saturday, December 5: Ontario reported a single-day record high of 1,859 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday with a record 59,399 tests processed in the past 24 hours.
        • Sunday, December 6: The Government of Ontario confirmed 1,924 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday morning, the highest single-day count since the pandemic began.
        • Monday, December 7: Provincial health officials confirmed 1,925 new infections Monday, one more case than the record 1,924 confirmed on Sunday. The province has seen record-high case numbers now for three consecutive days.
        • Tuesday, December 8: Ontario reported fewer COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, with 1,676 new COVID-19 cases detected across the province along with 10 new deaths.
        • Wednesday, December 9: Ontario health officials recorded 1,890 new infections on Wednesday and 28 more deaths, up from 1,676 cases and 10 deaths reported on Tuesday.
        • Thursday, December 10: Ontario health officials reported another record-high 1,983 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday as the province processed more than 60,000 tests, the highest number of tests conducted in a 24-hour period.
        • Friday, December 11: Provincial health officials reported another 1,848 new cases of the disease caused by the novel coronavirus on Friday, in addition to 45 more COVID-19-related deaths, marking a tragic new high for the second wave of the pandemic.
        • Saturday, December 12: The Government of Ontario confirmed 1,873 new COVID-19 cases, 1,918 more resolved cases, and 17 new deaths on Saturday morning.
        • Sunday, December 13: The Government of Ontario confirmed 1,677 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday morning. The province also reported 1,678 more resolved cases and 16 new deaths.
        • Monday, December 14: Provincial health officials reported 1,940 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, a notable jump from the 1,677 reported on Sunday but up only slightly from the 1,925 confirmed last Monday.
        • Tuesday, December 15: Ontario reported 2,275 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, in part due to timing changes in how numbers are gathered, shattering all previous records for case growth in a day.
        • Wednesday, December 16: Provincial health officials confirmed 2,139 new cases of the novel coronavirus and 43 more deaths, a notable increase compared to the 20 fatalities recorded on Tuesday.
        • Thursday, December 17: Ontario set a new record for COVID-19 cases, with 2,432 new infections confirmed Thursday, and 23 more deaths.
        • Friday, December 18: The Ministry of Health reported 2,290 new cases of COVID-19 as well as an additional 40 deaths on Friday.
        • Saturday, December 19: The Government of Ontario confirmed 2,357 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday morning, an increase from the 2,290 reported on Friday.

        • Thursday, December 24: The Government of Ontario confirmed 2,447 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday morning, the highest daily count since the beginning of the pandemic.
        • Friday, December 25: The province reported 2,159 cases on Christmas Day, which is down from Thursday's record high.
        • Saturday, December 26: Provincial health officials confirmed 2,142 on Saturday morning.
        • Sunday, December 27: Provincial health officials confirmed 2,005 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday morning.
        • Monday, December 28: While the province didn't publicly record new case numbers today due to the public holiday, the Government of Ontario has confirmed 1,939 new COVID-19 cases were reported.
        • Tuesday, December 29: Provincial health officials confirmed 2,553 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday morning, marking the highest daily count since the beginning of the pandemic.
        • Wednesday, December 30: The Government of Ontario confirmed 2,923 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, which is now the highest number to date.
        • Thursday, December 31: The Government of Ontario confirmed 3,328 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday morning, the highest number since the pandemic began.

          • Friday, January 1: The province reported 2,476 cases on January 1.
          • Saturday, January 2: Provincial health officials recorded the highest number of COVID-19 cases Saturday morning after 3,363 cases were confirmed.
          • Sunday, January 3: Provincial health officials recorded 2,964 more cases on Sunday, which is a drop from the record-breaking 3,363 reported on Saturday.
          • Monday, January 4: Provincial health officials logged 3,270 new cases and 29 more deaths of the disease caused by the novel coronavirus on Monday.
          • Tuesday, January 5: Ontario reported 3,128 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, along with 51 more related deaths.
          • Wednesday, January 6: The province reported 3,266 new infections of COVID-19 on Wednesday, up from the 3,128 cases logged a day ago.
          • Thursday, January 7: Provincial health officials recorded 3,519 new cases of the disease caused by the novel coronavirus on Thursday, in addition to 89 more deaths, surpassing the previous record of 86 set on April 30.
          • Friday, January 8: Provincial health officials reported 4,249 new infections and 26 more deaths, surpassing the previous record of 3,519 cases on January 7. However, approximately 450 of Friday's cases have been included due to a data upload delay at Toronto Public Health, according to the Ministry of Health.
          • Saturday, January 9: The Government of Ontario confirmed 3,443 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday morning, a decrease from the record-breaking 4,249 reported on Friday.
          • Sunday, January 10: The Government of Ontario confirmed 3,945 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday morning, an increase from the 3,443 reported on Saturday.
          • Monday, January 11: Provincial health officials reported 3,338 new infections Monday, down from the record 3,945 logged on Sunday, and 29 more virus-related deaths.
          • Tuesday, January 12: The Government of Ontario confirmed 2,903 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday morning. The last time cases were below 3,000 was on January 3.
          • Wednesday, January 13: Ontario health officials recorded 2,961 new cases and an alarming 74 more virus-related deaths.
          • Thursday, January 14: Public health officials reported 3,326 new infections and 62 additional deaths.
          • Friday, January 15: Ontario reported 2,998 new COVID-19 cases and 100 new deaths on Friday, including 46 fatalities that occurred earlier in the pandemic but were just confirmed in the London-Middlesex area.
          • Saturday, January 16: The Government of Ontario confirmed 3,056 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday morning, an increase from the 2,998 reported on Friday.
          • Sunday, January 17: The Government of Ontario confirmed 3,422 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday morning, an increase from the 3,056 reported on Saturday.
          • Monday, January 18: The province reported 2,578 new cases and 24 new deaths on Monday, which is almost 1,000 lower than Sunday’s 3,422.
          • Tuesday, January 19: Provincial health officials logged 1,913 new cases of COVID-19 today, the lowest number of infections reported in a single day in Ontario in over a month. However, the province said numbers from Toronto Public Health are likely lower low due to a "technical issue."
          • Wednesday, January 20: The province reported another 89 deaths linked to COVID-19 and logged 2,655 new cases of the disease caused by the novel coronavirus on Wednesday.
          • Thursday, January 21: Provincial health officials recorded 2,632 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday and 46 more deaths. However, it should be noted that a technical issue reported by Toronto Public Health earlier this week is now resolved, with 102 cases added to today’s total from earlier days.
          • Friday, January 22: Provincial health officials reported 2,664 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, up slightly from the 2,632 reported on Thursday but down from 2,998 cases at this point last week.
          • Saturday, January 23: The Government of Ontario confirmed 2,359 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday.
          • Sunday, January 24: Ontario health officials reported 2,417 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday.
          • Monday, January 25: Ontario reported 1,958 new COVID-19 cases and 43 more deaths on Monday.
          • Tuesday, January 26: Provincial health officials logged 1,740 new COVID-19 cases and 63 more deaths on Tuesday. Of the latest deaths, 35 are among long-term care home residents.
          • Wednesday, January 27: The Government of Ontario confirmed 1,670 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday morning, the lowest case count since November 26.
          • Thursday, January 28: Ontario has reported 2,093 new COVID-19 cases and 56 more deaths, as labs completed more than 64,000 tests in the past 24 hours.
          • Friday, January 29: The Ministry of Health says that there were 1,837 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed over the last 24 hours as well as another 58 deaths.
