These Are The Road Closures to Prepare for in Toronto this Weekend

The weekend ahead is poised to bring Toronto a mix of rain and sun, but one promise remains consistent: there are a handful of road closures to be aware of over the next few days.

This weekend forecasts fewer road obstructions than last when Allen Road was closed for maintenance for the first time since 2018. All residents need to be aware of over the next 72 hours are the closures related to ActiveTO.

From 6 am on Saturday, October 24 at until 11 pm on Sunday, October 25, the following road closures will be in effect due to the city's outdoorsy initiative:

Lake Shore Boulevard West (eastbound lanes only) from Windermere Avenue to Stadium Road. The eastbound Gardiner Expressway off-ramp to Lake Shore Boulevard West (exit #146) will also be closed, as a result.

Lake Shore Boulevard East (eastbound lanes only) from Leslie Street to Woodbine Avenue.

Bayview Avenue from Front Street East to Rosedale Valley Road, and River Street from Gerrard Street East to Bayview Avenue

Sunnyside Park, Budapest Park and Sir Casimir Gzowski Park parking lots along Lake Shore Boulevard West will also be closed during ActiveTO closures; overnight parking isn't permitted in these lots, so any vehicles should be moved before midnight Friday.
