What’s the single best advice you have for sellers?

Do not overprice your home just to ‘try it’. You will sit on the market longer than necessary and you will end up with less in your pocket at the end of the day.

What’s the single best advice you have for buyers?

Get pre-approved and shop within your budget.

What’s the best thing a realtor can invest in for their brand (a bus bench ad, a solid Instagram strategy, etc.)?

Your people, whether they be referral partners or part of your database, investing in them is crucial.

Who do you look up to in the industry and why?

Long-time fellow Realtors who are willing to share and mentor newer agents. The spirit of collaboration helps everyone grow.

Is there anything you wish people knew or understood about realtors that you think they’re constantly getting wrong?

We are NOT all the same. We work very hard to serve our customers and put many unpaid hours in.

Tell us about your favourite (or most memorable) sale.

I sold a lakefront home whose seller initially believed that “every Realtor does the same thing”. I brought multiple offers and got them above list price (before that was common). They were blown away and said they’d never had such a great real estate experience in over 40 years.

What are the three words you hope your clients use to describe you?

Amazing. Trustworthy. Friend.

What’s your favourite thing to do outside of selling houses?

Golf, hike, travel, and spend time out on Okanagan lake.
