Where did you grow up?

Whitby, ON

What neighbourhood do you live in now?

I currently live in Whitby in a neighbourhood called Williamsburg.

What made you want to become a real estate agent?

Combining my passion for real estate with the dream of running my own business has been exhilarating. Every day, I wake up fuelled by excitement and genuine enthusiasm for my work. This is truly my passion and as a result, I am never tired of “work”. As a CPA, I offer unique insights to my investor clients, bridging the gap between numbers and property deals. This expertise sets me apart, allowing me to provide a comprehensive understanding that many realtors might not offer. My dedication stems from this perfect blend of my interests, ensuring I consistently deliver exceptional value to my clients.

What’s the biggest challenge you see facing the market today?

In today's market, there's lots of uncertainty, amplified by chatter from both real estate agents and media outlets. Much of the discussion is around interest rates, with everyone attempting to predict the upcoming years. However, predicting the future remains a challenge; not many people have been able to predict accurately.

This trend has created confusion for both sellers and buyers. Sellers have higher expectations and buyers are out to find a bargain.

My goal is to educate my buyer and seller clients with all the information necessary in order to approach decisions with a balanced perspective.

What’s the single best advice you have for sellers?

You need an experienced agent on your side. Someone who has the perfect balance of new and traditional methods of preparing your home for a sale. In a market filled with uncertainty, you have to ensure your home is presented the best when compared with the competition. This typically means getting your home equipped with professional staging, media, and representation.

I always recommend people interview two to three agents before making a decisions. Always ask agents you are interviewing for proof and validation over any statements they make.

What’s the single best advice you have for buyers?

I stick to the famous saying “Get your ducks in a row.” This often means getting your financial orders in check. I work with very good mortgage brokers who assist with this crucial step.

Tell us about your favourite (or most memorable) sale.

The sale of our family home where I grew up, and also the sale of our first home where our son, Noah, was born. Both of these transactions were bittersweet simply due to the memories we built.

The three words you hope your clients use to describe you

Dedicated. Reliable. Transparent.

What’s your favourite thing to do outside of selling houses?

I’ll give you 3 things that I love to do/experience outside of selling houses:

  1. Trying out new restaurants with my wife and our son, Noah.
  2. Travelling to new destinations. Our next long-haul trip will be Japan. We love the culture and food and want to experience it in real life.
  3. Watching lots of soccer. Looking forward to the Euro Cup and Copa America in 2024.
