The new year begins this Sunday, and if you're looking to head out and perhaps get a jumpstart on your resolutions, here's what's open and what's closed in Vancouver on New Year's Day, to help you better plan out your day.
Similar to Christmas weekend, because New Year's Day falls on a Sunday this year, many offices, businesses, and stores are also closed on Monday, January 2 to make up for the statutory holiday.
However, plenty of grocery stores and attractions will remain open, so there are still plenty of options when it comes to things to do!
When in doubt, double-check hours before you head out. Most importantly -- Happy New Year, Vancouver!
