That pesky Line 1 closure is back with 10 stations being shut down every night this week from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next day.
Starting on Monday night at 11 p.m. and running until Friday morning at 6 a.m., all stations between Union and St. Clair West will be shut down due to the installation of the new Automatic Train Control signalling system.

What’s Closed
There will be no subway service on Line 1 between St. Clair West and Union stations between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. every night this week, due to the installation of the new Automatic Train Control signalling system. The closure includes St. Andrew, Osgoode, St. Patrick, Queen’s Park, Museum, St. George, Spadina and Dupont terminals.
How To Navigate The Closure
Shuttle buses will operate along the normal subway route along University Ave. Buses will stop at all the regular subway station stops, just outside the typical zone. The Yonge side of Line 1 is still operational, so you can travel north and south along there as an alternative.

How To Pay
If you’re paying with PRESTO during the subway closure just tap your card when you first board the TTC.
If you are transferring from the subway to a shuttle bus or from a shuttle bus to the subway, don’t tap your PRESTO card again. Unlike normal subway to bus transfers, shuttle buses do not need a second tap.
Cash and token fares will still be accepted on the shuttle bus, which will get you a transfer onto the subway (and vice versa).
Normal service will resume in the mornings.

Looking Ahead
Implementation of the ATC system should improve the reliability of the TTC, but first, we need to get through all these upgrades.
From March 10 to March 13, the portion of Line 1 between Finch and Lawrence will be shut down in the evening for corridor maintenance. The upgrades will continue along Line 1 on and off until the end of March.
