The autumn market is starting to wind down, with home sales softening compared to the same week in September, though generally stronger than this time in 2017.
Low-rise homes — detached and semi-detached — continue to improve from a year-over-year perspective, with sales up 19 per cent and 12 per cent, respectively. However, month over month, both have fallen six per cent and 29 per cent.
Toronto condos, which have seen annual sales slide throughout the year, had a better week, posting a three-per-cent improvement, though still below September levels by -19 per cent.
Townhouses, however, saw the greatest declines, plunging by 41 per cent monthly and 30 per cent from 2017, with its volatility due to lower over inventory.
