After a two-year hiatus, the Fall Home Show is back in all of its inspirational, educational, and interactive glory for those looking to elevate their living spaces.

Held from Friday, September 30 to Sunday, October 2 at Toronto's Enercare Centre, the Fall Home Show promises to showcase the best of home organization and storage, small space optimization, family sanctuaries, entertainment, and more for homes of all sizes.

At a time when the temperatures dropping and the days getting shorter, the show offers everything you need to get your home ready for winter (AKA “hibernation season") -- and beyond. With a cozy theme of “Hibernation, Haven, and Hygge," the show will cater to those looking to hunker down this winter and make their home a sanctuary from the chilly winds and bitter temperatures outside (gotta love a Canadian winter, right?).

“Whether you’re revamping a semi-detached, bungalow, or condo, the 2022 show is set to inspire you with creative solutions to maximize your space and get your home working for you,” says Denise Hayward, Show Manager. “It’s important to remember that our homes should work for us and our lifestyles, so having a place to connect with family and friends, work and stay organized, or simply spend quality time relaxing, will help you get the most out of your space.”

More than a just shopping experience, the show will offer one-on-one consultations for those looking to transform their living space. This means free advice on everything from reno or décor projects, to learning new cooking techniques.

“The show is designed around helpful and practical solutions so people can live better in their space -- all year long,” says Hayward.

Guests can expect a new Speakers Lounge, an intimate space where experts like HGTV Canada’s Scott McGillivray will share their insight into things like real estate, renovations, organization, and home entertaining. Also new are the Maker Studio Spaces, a new feature designed to promote local makers and crafters where guests can watch them in action. Makers will showcase their talents in knitting, cake decorating, macrame, candle making, and paper crafts, to name a few.

Those who can’t get enough of fall will appreciate the new Posh Pumpkins. The project invites attendees to celebrate all the season has to offer by discovering a selection of unique and beautifully stylized posh pumpkins painted by design celebrities from all over the GTA. The seasonal works of art are available for purchase, making for a perfect talking point for this year’s Thanksgiving table. Furthermore, there will be free pumpkin painting as a make-and-take activity for those of all ages.

Returning this year is the crowd favourite Ask A RenoMark Renovator, which offers those looking to upgrade their spaces this season a free 15-minute consultation with a home renovations expert. Those interested are asked to bring a sketch or floor plan to get the most out of this conversation.

Those with a plan in place are encouraged to head over to Design Intervention -- another returning initiative -- and spend 15 minutes with a renovation and decor celebrity guest designer for free advice to add some colour to bring spaces to life. Finally, the show's DIY centre will once again invite attendees to get hands-on and learn how to use a mitre saw, power drill, nail gun, and more under the guidance of DIY experts (because it looks easier on TV than it is in real life).

Whether you have dreams of constructing a backyard ice rink this winter or turning the family room into the ultimate entertainment zone, the show will offer no shortage of inspiration for those in the market for a home project.
