1. Burdock Piano Fest

2. Toronto Mendelssohn Choir Concert
Where: Yorkminister Park Baptist ChurchWhen: January 26Cost: Free!
The program will include music by well-known masters, like Healey Willan, to contemporary composers like Andrew Balfour, the prominent Winnipeg composer of Cree descent, and a selection of lively folk songs. This free community concert is part of the TMC’s education and outreach initiatives.
3. Dance Ontario's Dance Weekend

Totally unique and completely and completely captivating, Dance Weekend is a host of dance from 25 professional companies presenting in Toronto throughout the year. A platform of over 350 dancers and live musicians, plus two premiers of music videos.
4. Canada's Top Ten Shorts
Where: TIFF Bell LightboxWhen: January 27Cost: $10 to $14
This new series replaces Canada's Top Ten Film Festival by offering each feature film the opportunity to have a full theatrical run at the Bell Lightbox theatre.
5. The Great Canadian Kilt Skate
Where: Nathan Phillips SquareWhen: January 27Cost: Free!
The Great Canadian Kilt Skate is inherently Scottish and totally Canadian. The event is open to everyone. It's a chance to nurture your inner Scot. You don't have to be Scottish, you don't even have to wear a kilt. Just wear Canada's national fabric of plaid.

6. Toronto Light Festival 2019

This winter, come out of the dark and step into the light at the Toronto Light Festival in the Historic Distillery District. The festival runs from January 18 to March 3.
7. DesignTO 2019

DesignTO, formerly the Toronto Design Offsite Festival, brings you 10 days of immersive installations, fantastic exhibitions, engaging talks, and more design and art than ever before. With this much to do, you’ll want to make sure it all makes it into your calendar.
8. January Exhibitions Opening Reception At Xpace Cultural Centre

Xpace Cultural Centre is a not-for-profit artist-run centre dedicated to providing emerging and student artists, designers, curators and writers with opportunities to showcase their work in a professional setting.
9. Toronto International Boat Show

The Toronto International Boat Show, North America's Largest Indoor Boat Show, drops anchor January 18-27 2019. Celebrating 61 years in 2019 as the best place to see and buy boats, the show also offers expert boating information, 200+ seminars, an abundance of family fun attractions and on-the-water boating activities.
10. Port Union Winterfest

Free outdoor family event for the community at Port Union Community Centre. There'll be activities, live music, live theatre and performances, sports, and festivals in the GTA.
