Looking for a dreamy holiday experience? Check out an oft-forgotten about tourist destination this season – the Toronto Zoo – which has stepped up its holiday game by bringing its landscape alive.

1.

The well-lit path is just 1.5 kilometers, so kids and seniors can also make the trek along the holiday-blitzed trail. It takes less than an hour to complete.

2.

It opens December 13 and will run until April 13, 2020.

3.

The multimedia experience includes video projections, colourful lights and music to tell a unique story that takes you “to the future and back”, according to the website.

4.

The journey begins with a portal transporting walkers to the year 2099 when animals and humans have learned to live in harmony.

5.

Toronto Zoo sites you get to visit along the way include the luminous forest, the wolves’ welcome, polar power, and the circle of life.

6.

The spectacle was created and installed by Moment Factory, the creators of other famous Canadian nighttime walks including Nova Lumina, Tonga Lumina, Foresta Lumina, and Lumina Borealis.

7.

Moment Factory created something similar at the Singapore Zoo

8.

Treat yourself to an original music score which was composed for this specific “experience”.

9.

Admission is $29.99 for adults, $24.99 for children, and $27.99 for seniors.
