There will soon be a new reason to visit Burlington’s vibrant waterfront... and stay for a few days.

Yesterday, the anticipated Pearle Hotel and Spa, an Autograph Collection property, announced it will open its doors on November 1.

Located just steps from Lake Ontario, the luxurious hotel sits on 300 feet of shoreline and is designed to emulate a modern lake house, with elegant white oak panelling and views of both the lake and the rapidly growing downtown Burlington

Designed by Studio Munge -- the world-renowned studio that was also behind the recently revamped and reopened Park Hyatt Toronto -- the 151 guest rooms and public spaces are meant to reflect the richness of the changing Canadian seasons. Like the Park Hyatt, the Pearle draws heavily on local artists.

Upon arrival, guests are welcomed by local works of art and the warm hues of the hotel lobby, instantly sparking an autumnal ambiance with a grand cascading spiral staircase that begins the journey through the hotel’s inviting amenities.

“The Pearle Hotel and Spa is a dream soon to be realized,” said Aaron Ciancone, President of Pearle Hospitality.

And the spa is as dreamy as it gets. Designed to feel reminiscent of the arrival of spring, the full-service oasis offers a curated offering of rejuvenating treatments. Adjoining the spa, a hammam steam room, an indoor swimming pool, and a state-of-the-art fitness facility all add to the guest experience.

Meanwhile, guests are invited to transport themselves to the vibrant and carefree days of summer through the hotel’s hyper-local culinary program. The Pearle Hotel and Spa is home to two inventive, farm-driven dining options, with much of their offerings grown on Pearle Hospitality’s own farm located 20 minutes down the road.

The Pearle Hotel’s restaurant Isabelle, headed by Executive Chef Ben Heaton (formerly of Toronto’s Patria, Mira, Byblos), has an expansive lakeside terrace with a weather-friendly patio destined to be a space for sharing and connecting with loved ones. The hotel will also house the fourth location of the popular Earth to Table: Bread Bar for high quality ingredient dishes and coffee with more casual cafe seating.

A perfect event venue (oh, the backdrops), the hotel’s exclusive event floor features elegantly designed event space totalling 10,000 square feet. With showstopping floor-to-ceiling windows, hand-blown fixtures by local artisans, and breathtaking lake views, The Pearle Hotel and Spa will undoubtedly become a go-to for everything from executive retreats to weddings.

The Hotel and Spa is inspired by the Ciancone family matriarch, grandmother Pearle, whose work ethic and spirit of hospitality remain deeply admired by her family today. Elegant and free of formality, the property embodies and honours the founders’ grandmother.

Taking guests back to simpler days, visitors are encouraged to write, explore, and mail letters to the important people in their life, something made easy with paid postage and mailboxes setup throughout the hotel.

If you ask us, it looks like the breezy new spot will offer guests no shortage of things to write home about.
