The August Civic Holiday is quickly approaching, which means most Toronto residents can expect to enjoy an extra-long weekend. But as with any holiday, you'll want to be aware of what's open and closed in Toronto this Monday, August 1.

Many businesses will either close their doors completely or be operating on a modified schedule, but thankfully most of the city's biggest attractions will remain open. If you're unsure whether a restaurant or small businesses will be open on Monday, it's best to call ahead.

The city will also be experiencing a number of road closures over the weekend, many due to the return of Caribana, so be sure to plan travel accordingly.
