A leadership program aimed at women working in high-pressure, industrial sectors is landing in Vancouver this spring.

CALIBRATED: A Leadership Experience for Women Who Build will take over the Vancouver Club on May 13, bringing together women in senior leadership, executive, and technical roles across construction, infrastructure, energy, water, environment, and resources.

The one-day experience will serve an alternative to more traditional women’s leadership conferences. Rather than anchoring around motivation or visibility, the program focuses on practical tools designed to support leadership in operationally intense, male-dominated environments, where sustained pressure is often a defining feature of senior roles.

“After years of attending women’s events that lacked real solutions for leaders in male-dominated industries, I knew we needed a change,” said Corinne Lynds, Co-Founder of CALIBRATED and Chief Content Officer at SiteMedia.

At the centre of CALIBRATED is a shift away from narratives of "grit" and "endurance," toward a closer examination of how leadership performance is shaped by physiology, nervous system regulation, hormonal health, and executive presence. The goal is to equip participants with tools to regulate stress in real time, and support long-term sustainability as leadership scope and responsibility expand.

Topics scheduled for the day include: the relationship between leadership scale and burnout; the influence of the nervous system and gut-brain axis on focus and decision-making; executive presence as a physiological and relational skill; and the role of intuition and embodiment in complex, high-risk environments.

The agenda includes a keynote session led by executive coach and CALIBRATED Co-Founder Shauna Moran, workshops with communications expert Lucas Mattiello and clinical nutritionist Emma Ford, a panel discussion featuring senior executives from across industrial sectors, and a facilitated closing session focused on translating the day’s insights into a structured 90-day leadership action plan.

In short, the day's mission is to provide attendees with a women's leadership experience that stands out from the rest — one that considers and celebrates the unique advantages of leading as a woman, and offers tangible takeaways that will continue to resource participants well into the future.

Attendance is intentionally limited to preserve depth of experience. The program also includes a facilitated networking lunch that groups participants by shared leadership contexts and goals, rather than open-format networking, to further increase the day's impact and intentionality.

CALIBRATED is open to women in senior leadership, executive, and technical roles across industrial and infrastructure sectors — and early-bird tickets are available now.
