THE INSIGHTS

Where did you grow up?

I was born in the Philippines, and my family moved to Canada in 2009.

What neighbourhood do you live in now?

I live in Surrey now. I love it here — it’s beautiful and it’s close to beautiful neighbouring cities like Coquitlam, Port Moody, and West Vancouver, which are some of my favourites.

What neighbourhood in Canada or worldwide would you like to live in?

I would enjoy living on a larger-than-typical city lot in Langley, but with my backyard facing north to view the beautiful Golden Ears Mountain located in Maple Ridge, BC.

What made you want to become a real estate agent?

It all started when I was working in retail. I had a great conversation with a real estate agent who encouraged me to consider the profession. At the time, I kept the idea in the back of my mind, but I couldn’t stop thinking about it over the years. Eventually, I realized there had to be a reason why it stayed with me, so I decided to take a leap of faith. Real estate also aligns with many of my personal goals and passions, especially my desire to help others. It’s been the best decision for me.

In a few sentences, describe what a typical "day in the life" looks like for you. Does this align with what you expected before becoming an agent?

A typical “day in the life” for me starts with thanking God for another day and setting a positive mindset, even on the tougher days. While I rely on a to-do list that I plan the night or week before, no two days in real estate are ever the same. As a newer agent, I’m still laying the foundation for my business, but my top priority is always my clients — whether it’s answering their questions, addressing their concerns, guiding them through the process, or making sure they feel supported every step of the way.

What’s the single best advice you have for sellers?

Choose an agent who will be your true partner in the process. Selling a home is a team effort, and your agent should be dedicated, proactive, and invested in your success. Passion and hard work can make all the difference, and being willing to go above and beyond in ensuring your goals are achieved.

What’s the single best advice you have for buyers?

Find an agent you trust — someone who listens, educates, and guides you. Buying a home is a big milestone, and having an agent who’s patient, informed, and attentive can turn the process into an exciting and rewarding experience.

What made you choose to work with your current brokerage?

After exploring my options, Sutton Premier Realty stood out for its welcoming and supportive environment. The agents are successful yet humble, always willing to share their knowledge. It’s an inspiring place to grow my career. I’m proud to be a part of it.

Who do you think is making the biggest waves in the industry today? Is there anyone you recommend people should be paying attention to?

There are so many agents in the office that I admire. What inspires me most is how, even after years of success, they remain humble, kind, and always willing to share their knowledge. Watching how they approach their business with such creativity and dedication motivates me to keep growing and improving my own skills. The industry is full of incredible professionals, and I think there’s always something we can learn from the people around us, whether it’s their mindset, their work ethic, or their creativity.

What is one professional goal you have for the next year? What's one that you have for the next 10 years?

This year, I aim to double the number of clients I helped by building efficient systems and providing exceptional service. In 10 years, I hope to grow my expertise, help 10x more clients, and lead a team that shares my values of service and excellence. To achieve this, I’m committed to constantly improving myself — whether that’s staying informed about market trends, adapting to changes, or sharpening my skills.

Tell us about your favourite or most memorable sale?

Honestly, every sale has been special in its own way, but if I had to pick one, it would be my very first listing. I was nervous but prepared. My clients were wonderful, and we sold their condo in just nine days, over asking, with multiple offers. It was a rewarding experience and gave me the confidence to move forward in my career. It’s a memory I will always cherish.

The three words I hope my clients use to describe me are:

Reliable. Genuine. Driven.
