A TTC work car derailment caused commuter chaos this morning as it shut down Line 1 subway service between St Clair West and Union Station.
100 shuttle buses were dispatched to aid the overload of customers, while riders have also been granted the ability to use GO Transit for the same price as the TTC.
The service shutdown is causing longer than usual travel times on both Line 1 and Line 2 as six trains were taken from Line 2 to help with the Line 1 delay. Lineups for shuttle busses and subways were immensely long at several stops:
