THE INSIGHTS
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in beautiful Burnaby, BC, where childhood was all about outdoor fun. I spent my days riding my bike, skipping rope, and playing hopscotch until the streetlights came on. It was a time of simple joys, endless energy, and a strong sense of community.
Where do you live now? And what neighbourhood (in Canada, or worldwide) would you love to live in (that isn’t your own)?
I happily live in Richmond with my family, just minutes away from the ocean. I love the diverse community, beautiful parks, trails, and the variety of cuisines to explore. It truly feels like home, and I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. I love where I live.
How did you end up becoming a real estate agent?
I studied Interior Design at BCIT, driven by my love for architecture, design, and helping people. Knowing I wanted to run my own business, I earned a Business Management Diploma from KPU before becoming a licensed REALTOR®. To deepen my expertise, I pursued a Diploma in Urban Land Economics (DULE) from UBC. Real estate combines my passion for homes, design, and guiding people through one of life’s biggest decisions — making it the perfect career for me!
In a few sentences, describe what a typical “day in the life” looks like for you. Does this align with what you expected before you became an agent?
My days as a REALTOR® are dynamic and never the same! It’s a fast-paced career that requires dedication, but I love the flexibility and the ability to help people find their perfect home. While I expected hard work, the level of problem-solving, relationship-building, and continuous learning has been even more rewarding than I imagined!
What's the single best advice you have for sellers?
Presentation is everything! First impressions matter, so declutter, clean, and stage your home to showcase its best features. A well-presented home attracts more buyers, and sells faster, often for a higher price. Partnering with the right REALTOR® ensures expert pricing, marketing, and negotiation to get the best results.
What's the single best advice you have for buyers?
Get pre-approved before you start house hunting! Knowing your budget helps you focus on the right homes, strengthens your offer, and prevents surprises. Working with a knowledgeable REALTOR® ensures you make informed decisions, negotiate effectively, and find the perfect home for your needs.
What made you choose to work for your current brokerage?
I chose my current brokerage, Sutton Group – Seafair Realty, because of its strong reputation, proudly Canadian, supportive culture, and commitment to agent success. The collaborative environment, excellent training, and advanced tools help me provide the best service to my clients. Plus, being surrounded by like-minded professionals keeps me motivated and constantly learning!
Who do you believe is making the biggest waves in the industry today? Is there anyone you recommend people should be paying attention to right now?
Jeff King, CEO of Greater Vancouver REALTORS® (GVR), and his executive team are making a remarkable impact by championing professionalism and driving innovation within the real estate industry. As a dynamic leader, he is steering the organization toward a future focused on equipping REALTORS® with the tools and resources needed to better serve their clients. Through his commitment to implementing secure, innovative solutions and raising industry standards, Jeff and team are shaping the next generation of real estate practices. His vision and leadership position him as a key figure for anyone looking to understand the evolution of the industry.
What is one professional goal you have for the next year? What’s one that you have for the next 10 years?
For the next year, my professional goal is to continue serving as immediate Past Chair with GVR, helping onboard newly elected directors and contributing to the Board Development Committee, focusing on recruiting future leaders. Over the next 10 years, I aim to create an innovative mentorship program that empowers the next generation of real estate professionals. This program would provide guidance, leadership development, and industry knowledge, ensuring future leaders can give back and continue elevating our profession. It would be a fulfilling way to leave a lasting legacy in the profession.
Tell us about your favourite (or most memorable) sale, and why it stands out to you.
One of my most memorable sales was helping a young couple find their first home. They had been searching for months, feeling discouraged, but when we walked into the perfect property, their faces lit up with excitement. The home checked all their boxes and more, and I could see how much it meant to them. The joy of seeing their dream come true made the entire process so rewarding. It’s moments like these — knowing I’ve helped people find a place to call home — that remind me why I love being a REALTOR®.
What are the three words you hope your clients use to describe you?
Knowledgeable. Trustworthy. Dedicated. These are the qualities I strive to embody in every client interaction, ensuring they feel supported and confident throughout the entire real estate process.
