THE INSIGHTS

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Etobicoke, Ontario.

Where do you live now? And what neighbourhood (in Canada, or worldwide) would you love to live in (that isn’t your own)?

I live in Roncesvalles and would love to retire in Europe, particularly France or Italy.

How did you end up becoming a real estate agent?

I have always loved houses and decor, and when an opportunity came up to work with a successful west-end agent, I got my real estate license and jumped at the chance!

In a few sentences, describe what a typical “day in the life” looks like for you.

There really isn’t a typical day, and that is one of my favourite parts about real estate, no one day is ever the same. From listing and buying presentations, to showings, market research, staging, marketing, and offer negotiations, our days are dynamic and always changing, and I thrive in that kind of work environment.

What’s the single best advice you have for sellers?

Trust your agent, they have your best interests at heart. We provide sellers with a comprehensive plan which incorporates a pricing, staging, and marketing strategy in order to maximize sale price and minimize stress and their time on the market. Proper pricing and staging are key elements of our plan.

What’s the single best advice you have for buyers?

Go into house hunting with an open mind and a broad search, it can always be narrowed down over time. We often find that the house a buyer ends up buying is very different than the one they described on day one.

What made you choose to work for your current brokerage?

Sutton Group Old Mill is amazing. Loic Danis, the Broker of Record, and his partner, Karen Hannah, are very supportive and the support staff are great.

Is there anyone you recommend people should be paying attention to right now?

Agents who are taking advantage of all the technological advances that are now readily available to real estate agents. We find that buyers are extremely tech-savvy and do the majority of their search before they even set foot in the house. Gone are the days of withholding information, we believe in utilizing the internet to provide buyers with all the information they need to make an informed decision and streamline their search process.

What is one professional goal you have for the next year? What’s one that you have for the next 10 years?

Kirsten Clayton and I started our team with a shared vision: to highlight the vibrant neighbourhoods and communities of West End Toronto through a dedicated blog. Over the next year, we’re excited to refocus on sharing local insights and spotlighting the amazing things happening right here in our backyard. Looking ahead, our 10-year goal is to expand our services to include in-house design and staging—offering our clients a seamless, full-service real estate experience rooted in style, strategy, and community.

Tell us about your favourite (or most memorable) sale, and why it stands out to you.

We have had so many memorable sales, but we always find it such a privilege to help first-time buyers purchase their first homes. Their excitement and exuberance are unmatched and remind us constantly of why we love what we do.

What are the three words you hope your clients use to describe you?

Diligent. Compassionate. Savvy.
