What better way to welcome 2025 than with a massive firework show and rockin' tunes?

On Tuesday, December 31, join the City of Toronto as it rings in the new year with one of the largest firework shows in Canada alongside live music and pop-up performances.

“New Year’s Eve is a time to come together as a community and celebrate the hope and possibilities of the year ahead. Whether you’re joining us in person at the waterfront or watching the spectacular fireworks from home, I invite everyone to experience the magic of this unforgettable night as we welcome 2025 together," says Mayor Olivia Chow.

Head to various locations along the waterfront to enjoy the pre-countdown entertainment, including DJ sets by Traxx & Feels collective at Bathurst Quay Common, participatory dance sessions at Sherbourne Common, co-produced with The Dance Together Festival, performances from INCIRQUE at a number of waterfront locations, and a curated selection of short films from the National Film Board of Canada that can be viewed from the Toronto Music Garden.

The festivities kick off at 10 pm and wrap up at 11:45 with a countdown led by Mayor Chow and renowned drag entertainer Sanjina DaBish Queen. For those at home, watch the 15-minute countdown via webcast with discussions and short performances available on the City's CultureTO YouTube channel.

Finally, at midnight, the stunning 10-minute high-altitude firework show can be viewed from these locations:

  • Toronto Music Garden, 476 Queens Quay W.
  • Sherbourne Common, 61 Dockside Dr.
